Imperial Breakout Rooms 8 and 9
5 x 5 is a proprietary game invented by Bill Schantz. Similar to Jeopardy in that individual players are buzzing in to answer clues on a grid in columns of increasing difficulty, this has been a fan favorite in previous years. Unlike Jeopardy, five players compete at a time, and the Final Round asks a question with multiple answers in a “Complete the List” style. Every entrant will play at least 3 games, with the highest scoring player advancing to the semis and final round on Sunday.
Suitable for Novices? Absolutely! Like Jeopardy, the clues range in difficulty, so a good portion of the questions will be accessible to all. Additionally, there will be some sessions of 5 x 5 on Sunday that will be specifically designated for first time players.
QuiP is an online, team-based trivia league with a fun and unique format that allows players to showcase their individual strengths. With a focus on equity and inclusivity, QuiP believes quizzing should be for everyone—so come join the fun! As one player put it:
“This is some of the most fun trivia I’ve ever played—and I’ve played a lot. The questions are challenging and well-written, the list round is creative and a blast to play, and the vibes are so, so good.”
